The winery La Valentina was born in 1990, in the municipality of Spoltore, in the hills near Pescara, thanks to the will of Sabatino Di Properzio, who has turned his passion for wine in the work of his life.
After the first years of study on the vineyards of Santa Teresa, a passion for the pursuit of quality and the desire to enhance the Abruzzo Doc have taken over becoming the main objective of the winery.
The vineyards are located in various areas of Pescara: about 7 hectares are behind the winery, where recently were implanted also 2 hectares of Pecorino; other vineyards are in Scafa, terrain drought to medium texture, on the hills overlooking the gorges of Popoli.
The winery has always imposed its production philosophy as the idea to intervene as little as possible in the processes of nature, allowing the grapes to express the very best, ensuring the maintenance of soil fertility and helping plants to grow healthy and naturally.
The wines of La Valentina are unique labels, capable of expressing impeccably the unique terroir of Abruzzo. The credit for this, as well as the winery, to be found also in the perfect microclimate, can guarantee a perfect ripening of the grapes. The bottles are truly unique, or, in the words of the producers themselves: are “wines that speak of places and crops, which arise from the sum of many small details and passion that we put every day. Authentic wines”.
