The Malvasia "Donna Luigia" by Torre Fornello is one of those whites who never stop drinking, a wine romantic striking thanks to its intense flavor notes typical of Malvasia di Candia, a vine that Torre Fornello is keen to. The "Donna Luigia" is dedicated to Douglas Scotti, who lived between the late 1700s and early 1800s and owns the company; a woman with a strong personality, a character that is also found in wine dedicated to her. It comes from vineyards in 1990, grown on soils of medium texture, with a low presence of limestone and is aged in barrels for 20% for six months, while the remaining 80% rests in steel. And it’s a light and fresh wine that does not lose the characteristics of intensity and complexity typical of Malvasia di Candia, a vine that gives deeply aromatic notes of mint, passion fruit and lychee.
