Negroamaro 'Morgicchio' Tormaresca-Antinori 2012

The Negroamaro "Morgicchio" comes from the vineyards of Tormaresca, owned by the Antinori family. We are in Puglia, in the hills of San Pietro Vernotico, in the province of Brindisi.

Negroamaro in purity that is collected in the last week of September, with the berries slightly surmaturi to enhance their phenolic potential. Fermentation in steel and a soft maceration lasted 15-18 days then hone directly in French oak barrels and Hungarian, where after malolactic fermentation, the wine remains to increase its complexity for at least 9 months; another 12 months in bottle completes the evolution and aging of this Negroamaro which provides the cup with an intense ruby red color and the nose offers a bouquet and complex where cherry and plum are alternated with light notes of balsamic mint and spicy licorice.
