Pinot Nero 'Nero Lucido' Torre Fornello 2011

The Nero Lucido, that comes from Pinot Noir in purity, is the wine with which Torre Fornello decided to show how the identity and personality of a wine are strongly influenced by geological and climatic characteristics of the territory in which it is produced, but also the will of the manufacturer. That of Torre Fornello, is a Pinot Noir absolutely atypical, very dense, creamy and soothing, that comes from vineyards planted in 1981 on a land rich in silt, potassium, magnesium and limestone; a soil rich in nutrients to be transferred to the plant, a rich soil that personality that we find in the cup. It comes from a biological philosophy and by the aging of 18 months in barrique of first and second passage; an evolution that gives the Nero Lucido by Torre Fornello its typical garnet and its complex aroma where alternate markedly fruity notes of cherries to spicy, and then close on a silky and velvety tannins.
