Saia Feudo Maccari 2012

The Saia is the Nero d'Avola most awarded of the winery Feudo Maccari, aged for 18 months in French oak barrels, a champion of the category. It is a deep red wine and concentrate, produced from grapes of the traditional vineyards sapling of the Val di Noto, caressed by the warm south wind and lashed by the north, ventilated by breezes.

The name chosen this Nero d'Avola is reminiscent of the ancient irrigation canals built centuries ago by the Arabs to collect rainwater. Referring to these ancient traditions set his work cellar Feudo Maccari, engaged in a philological recovery of the techniques of cultivation and production of the past.
