Schiava 'Solos' Cantina di Caldaro Kaltern 2013

The Schiava "Solos" by Cantina di Caldaro is a light red wine with low tannin content that presents us immediately with her beautiful light ruby red color and bright. Solos is the innovative design of the Cantina di Caldaro, which provides for the cultivation of the vines of a group of winemakers in accordance with the principles of biodynamics; a philosophy that is followed even in the basement, where this Slave is refined as much as possible of course, fermenting in a completely natural, with natural yeasts. A winery that has been able to carve out a leading role in the wine scene in South Tyrol; a basement that is based today on the passion, the experience and expertise of nearly 450 members. The Schiava "Solos" was born in the rolling hills surrounding Lake Kalter, from selected vineyards that give a yield of 60 hectoliters per hectare. The biodynamic philosophy followed in the line "Solos" provides that the grapes are crushed, it is left to ferment in a natural way with indigenous yeasts, using wooden barrels; aging provides a brief passage in large oak barrels to soften and make it even more elegant this Schiava which comes with pleasant fruity notes reminiscent of strawberry and cherry.
