The Vermentino "Pianacce" comes from the passion and efforts of Roberto Petacchi, who decided in 1993 to turn into reality the passion of his grandfather, Pietro Giacomelli. A cellar recently, but with ancient origins, which has its roots in the tradition of a land difficult to grow, but can give infinite satisfaction. Proper management of the screws to re-create that deep balance between plants and the earth, between man and wine, thanks also to foster the development of a microfauna that contributes to more fertile and rich soil where the vines grow. The winery Giacomelli is located in Castelnuovo Magra, on an authentic natural terrace you can admire the Tyrrhenian and the last part of the Cinque Terre. Here, the last outpost before the Liguria Tuscany, Vermentino "Pianacce" takes shape, on soils rich in clay and skeleton; harvested by hand, is left to macerate in steel for 24 hours, before continuing with 6 months of aging in steel, 4 of which passes them on the lees. The result is a true Vermentino, tense, with a very large nose mingling the fresh notes of mint and citrus tones. The "Pianacce" is a Vermentino hot, flirty, beautiful freshness and flavor.
