The whiskey Glenfiddich Ancient with 18 years of aging, is produced in Scotland in the region of Speyside. The Glenfiddich distillery dates back to 1886 when William Grant, one of the best distillers of his time, he bought an old pot still from Mrs. Elizabeth Cumming, owner of a nearby distillery. The stills current (five for the first and eight for the second distillation) were the original dimensions. The company is still owned by the Grant family who marketed the Glenfiddich malt whiskey and today is a reference name in the global landscape. This whiskey with 18 years of slow aging on the shoulders presents an old gold color and an aroma reminiscent of a basket of fruit and sweet like overripe plums and raisins, apricots and grapes with vanilla notes. Emerge scents of oranges and fruity aromas of apples, spices and smoked. Its taste is soft, torabto, honey, you feel the sweet rolls, raisins and sherry. The final is still soft with hints of dried fruit. Continue along with a persistent dry aftertaste that develops on the walnut and floral notes. Some reference to the burnt oak is added to make this a whiskey distilled sophisticated and elegant.
